When buying  a  wig consider first: is this  a  wig  that  I'l be using everyday? Am I in the  market for a quick change of look-no strings attached? Will  I  be  able to style  it properly  and  avoid an  unflattering look that will  make  me  wish  I had  never  bought it in  the  first  place?

Let  me give  you  a  couple  pointers  based on  my  experience as a hairstylist. If you are looking for an everyday wig-buy a kanekalon or synthetic fiber wig in the style you  like  best  having  in  cosideration  these three things: size-most  important- most  of  the  wigs  are  either average or pettite-some  manufacturers like  Paula Young  will have  a  large size available- if  you  have  a  tiny  head-you are  very small or you  have  really  short  hair a  pettite will do.For  most  of  all average is  the  ideal size-but -if  you have lots  of  hair  that  will  make  it  bulky or just  a a bigger  head large will do.Some  people  with coarse or curly hair can't accomodate  all the  bulk  under  a  size  average wig-it results on a huge  headache-and you'll probably put it in the trash- but  if  you  really  like  a  wig  thats  too tigh- follow  this simple  procedure in  order  to  strch the cap- rinse the wig- place  dry towelletts inside  the  cap  so  it  will dry strched from  the  bulk-and  it  will be  a  lot  more  comfortable  to  wear  after  it  dries.Next  comes  color-unless you  are  really  looking  for  a  change- get  a  color compatible with  the  hair on your sideburns area-this way even  if  you  prefer  to  wear  the  hair  off your  ears, the wig will be undetectable.

Make sure your wig  is  clean- when  you  get  spay build up regular wig shampoo won't do the trick- use liquid laundry detergent-it will leave  the  hair  clean and there  is  no  need  to  use  softener-unless  you  really  like  it  very  soft-remember  the  man  made  fibers  are  just  like  laundry! they dont  need costly  shapoos  or  conditioners  to  look  good.Never  use  heat  from curling  irons on a  high  setting- if  you  really  need  some added curls  the lower setting  will  do  fine-super  curly  wigs  can  be  relaxed  with a good blow  dry and  firm brushing.Remember they can be taken to your stylist if you would  like  to  shortem them or remove  and thin  some  of  the  hari at  any  angle according  to  your  preference. If  you  are  handy  with  the  brush-half synthetic and half human hair  or all human hair is wonderful because of its versatility .Human wigs can be colored or permed if desired-although  most  of  them  have  treatments to  keep  the  hair shinny  and  manageable. If  you are  looking for  a  totally  fresh  and  youthful  look  with the absolute minimun of work try the headband wigs.Just brush your own hair bac or leave a cute wispy bands, add your headband and voila you are  all set-because  they cover  most  of  the  hairlaine  they are  perfect  if  you  want  to try  a  bolder  haircolor, and its  a snzp tp change or add another  headband  to  them to  completely change  and  coordinate  with  the  outfits youll be  wearing. Many good  sellers  on  Ebay  offer wigs at great sale  prices and you can find out  the  perfect  fit  and  color for you before spending  a lot on a brand new wig.Look for wigs that are either new without tags, try maybe  a wig lot with  many  styles  to  choose from  or inquire  from  a  favorite  seller in  a  particular  style  they  offer  comes  in  your  color-many  times wigs are not returnable -for sanitation purposes-I hope this pointers help!Happy wig bidding!
