Are you buying the right 3d glasses?
There are many styles of 3D glasses to choose from; so Which one is right for you? Should I buy those Real-D glasses everyone is selling? Below, I've listed a variety of 3d glasses; each with a definiton, a visual representation of what they look like, and how they are to be used. The list is long so grab a pen!
1) Anaglpyh 3d Glasses
These are those 1950's cyan/red glasses. This is the most common type of 3D glasses. Some variations include: purple and orange, green and red, and blue and red. If you have any media that features these colors, then this is the pair you need.

2) Pulfric 3d Glasses (for the TV)
Be Warned! This type of 3d glasses it to be used in conjuction with horizontal moving images; and will NOT produce any 3d effects if the movie or TV show moves in a vertical direction. This 3D process will NOT work in printed media. These 3D glasses are to be used in conjunction with specific TV shows and Movies only. The lens of pulfric glasses always include: 1 dark colored len, and 1 light colored lens. Some variations include black and white, grey and white, dark red and light yellow.
*The 3D effect is minimal at best.

3) Pollarized/Real- (for theater / 3DTV projection)
This type of 3D ONLY works with 3d projection. The lens of pollarized glasses are similar to tinted sunglasses. They work in conjuction with a pollorized projector ONLY. Unless you have a 3d projector; then these glasses are USLESS for viewing in 3D.

4) ChromaDepth/Crayola 3D explosion-
This is a newcomer in the 3d world. These glasses are see thru just like the pollarized style. Unlike the pollarized type of glasses, the ChromaDepth 3D effect works CAN work with video and printed material. These glasses work on the principle that darker colors appear farther away and lighter colors appear closer. Please Note*
This type of 3D ONLY works with high contrast intense neon colors set against a black backround. The glasses will NOT work for TV viewing unless a TV/Movie show is special designed for ChromaDepth viewing. Most of the time, these are used for printed material.

5) LCD/Shutter 3D glasses-( for 3DTV / computer)
This style of glasses are the most expensive, but can provide the best 3D visuals. Shutter Glasses are to be used in conjuction with 3d interlaced video ONLY. Each lens of this 3d glass style, is specially designed to flicker. The Flickering lens alternate over one eye, and then the other, in synchronization with the interlaced video, causing the 3D. The Flickering can cause headaches and even nausea.
