What you should know about buying auction templates do's and don't..

I have had my own experience with buying templates here on ebay and realized some of the templates I have I can no longer use. Apparently, they are not ebay compliance. When choosing to purchase a template from anyone here on ebay make sure you choose wisely and that they are ebay compliance. I am also learning the rules myself. What I can and cannot use.

I am unable to use quiet a few of my templates that I acquired since 1999 for quiet some time. Ebay has been ending auction listings and stores for some of the reason listed below.

I have had some friends auction site and stores close because of this. I am hoping this guide will help others. I tried to use some of my templates but apparently because the person I bought it from there stores have been closed so if they are hosting the picture for me, then I am unable to use it if Ebay closed there site.

This could end your auction listing due to site interference:

1.  Don't buy it if it has - disney, warner bros, or designer logo on it. These are copyrighted images.

2. Don't buy it: If the background color interferes at the top of Ebay header  page. It interfers with Ebays site policy.

3. Don't buy it: If you have different colored scroll bars or mouse trailers (it follows you around the site)- site interference

4. Don't buy it:  Music - copyrighted

Also, music may sound great, but might be irritating to others, but don't forget that the ones using dial-up load quickly. However, parts of the world do still have dial up and it takes forever to load the page.

Even though you might be getting your images from a 'FREE' image area, and decide to use it to make a template and sell. DON'T do it, it then falls under the copyrighted law. Those images are used for your personal use not for re-sell and against Ebay rules.

In my personal experience I met an artist that I did get permission to use his own signed art work for one of my auction template. He agreed  and I paid for the use of his art.

I hope this little guide help you in some way. Thank you for reading this...=)
