WOW!! Do you all remember back in the 1980's, when Garbage Pail Kids Stickers were sight after? I do and I have collected them over 20 years. I would like to let you know the ropes when trying to buy these awsome cards.
It started back in 1980 when I was about 6 years old. I earned my first dollar and wanted to go to the store to buy candy when all of a sudden there was a big box of cards with funny looking kids on it. For example: A boy picking his nose, A girl with holes all over her body. My mother allowed me to buy 1 pack, because she did not even think I would like them all alone love them so dearly. That one day I started my whole collection of collecting GPK'S. (Garbage Pail Kid Stickers).
When you are looking for the cards that you need be sure to look at each cards Picture before buying it from anyone on ebay. Be sure you know what you are buying!! That is very important!! Here is a list that I put together so when you want to start looking here on ebay you can start with this list.
- Always ask a lot of Questions to the seller.
- Look at all pictures very carefully.
- Make sure that the card you want don't have writing on them.
- Also make sure that the card is free of gum stains, which now having been around for 20+ years will have on some cards.
- And the last thing I do when I try buying a card that I need is look at the picture to see if all the corners were cared for. MEANING: Did the people take good care of them? Did they store them in a book? Or did they keep them all pilled up in a closet over the years?
That list will help you make good choices because there are so many cards here on EBAY!! Just have fun and enjoy each card because to a collector they are all worth a lot of money, besides they all mean so much to the collector them self. Just don't be afraid to look around to find the perfect card because it is out there somewhere, just be patient and you will have a great collection in time. I will show some of my favorite stickers in my collection.
As you can see I have lots and lots of these stickers. I also have buttons, posters and signed art from the creators. You to will love collecting these GPK'S to. I am not the only collector of GPK'S, there are so many of us out here that sell them on ebay and buy to just sell what they don't need.
I would always buy a complete sets, because if you don't it is very hard to buying the missing cards that you might need. By buying a complete set you would already have every card in the set. I did buy cards on ebay before that was not a complete set. It was a pain because it took me forever to sort them all out and try to put all of them in order, you could end up having 2, or 3 items of one card. So if I could say always buy complete sets, you will be happier in the long run.
Using Ebay is easy when trying to buy Garbage Pail Kid Stickers. Just type in "Garbage Pail Kid Stickers" and a lot of items will appear for you to look at. Also buy typing in "GPK'S", and 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and 10,11,12 th series of Garbage Pail Kid Stickers. For Example: I would type in 1 series Garbage Pail kid Stickers. Sometimes by not adding the s to stickers works better to.
I hope that this give all of you EBAYER'S a chance to own a real nice peice of history from back in the 1980's. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask the sellers anything!! They will answer your questions if the card is worth there time.
