                                         Legend of Dzi bead

The origin of Dzi bead can be tracked back to year between 3000-5000 B.C. in ancient India empire governed by Aryan . At the time, human beings wanted to seek the blessing of God and heaven, thus Dzi bead was created. The handicraftsman made Dzi jewelry according to the ethical and totem in ancient Wikipedia. They Drew the images on stones to exalt their spirit and soul.

Dzi ( pronounced as ZEE in Tibet ) embraces the meaning of luckiness, powerful mental spirit and good wealthiness. In China, the earliest written history about Dzi is in Tang Dynasty (641 A.C). Wen Cheng princess of Tang Dynasty brought a Buddha statue as her mother`s gift to Tibet when she married the emperor of Tibet as that time. Finally this statue was kept in The potala Palace and the Jokhang Temple Monastery, Lhasa.Tibetan people added thousands of various Dzi onto it, including three 9-eye-Dzi bead, 3-eye-Dzi bead, 2-eye-Dzi bead , immortal bottle Dzi bead, tiger vein dzi bead and other dzi bead with eyes. Currently you can still see this stature in th eJokhang Temple, Lhasa, Tibet .

Dzi has become the most precious jewelry in people` heart with its long history, beautiful and mysterious legend, the pietism and respect by Tibetan people, and the generation-by-generation passing on.

                                             The Materical

Dzi (pronounced Zee) is a Tibetan word yo describe a patterned agate bead of mainly cylindrical or tabular shape called " Heaven`s Bead" in Chinese, Such beads were etched black-and-white , with symbols comprised of circels, ovals, square, waves stripes,lines and various other symbolice patterns. To the Tibetans, each of there symbols represents a specific meaning. They are precious possession to the Tibetan, with so many fascinating stories of its mystical power attributed to it .

Dzi  beads play an imortant role in Tibetan culture. They have been found also in neighbouring countries around Tibet. In ancient times, Dzi beads are precious jewelery which is used for barter trade. Tibetans believe Dzi beads to possess the power to bring about good influence associated with protection, prosperity, attractiong wealth, fostering good health and ward against evil .
