Q. What is a complete Heating Air Conditioning (HVAC) system?
A. Your needs may vary based on new construction or replacement so compete package may vary based on your particular needs. A complete system consists of the condenser with an internal coil unit, an inside coil (A-coil, evaporator) which can either be inside of an air handler or in the duct work, a line set to hook up the condenser, duct work ran to the locations, and a furnace, heat pump unit or heat strip if heat is to be required. Also, if a furnace with a blower is already in place, then an air handler may not be needed. The accessories you will need if you are not replacing a system is 18/4 and 18/2 wire, electrical whip, and finally a thermostat. You may also need a pad if you do not have a poured concrete slab where the unit is to be mounted. If you are using Propane (LP Gas) you will need an LP kit.
