Kitchen Witchery is an art as much as it is a spiritual expression.  You honor your own inner self, your family and your heart with all your actions.  It is not the individual actions that matter, but the intentions pushing the actions.  Cooking and crafting are two wonderful ways to express, but sometimes fish sticks and French fries can carry as much power or more then an intricately prepared meal with a highly decorated table. 

To me, Kitchen Witchery comes down to more of a code then anything else.  Always act to protect and promote your hearth and home.  Promote health and wellness, nurturing and wellbeing in all under your roof and beyond.  Weave energies into your every day actions. Promote positive intentions throughout your home and other environments where you reside (includes work environments etc. ).  Honor your family, self, Gods, Goddesses and other entities that enter and influence our lives for good or bad. 

Also to me, Kitchen Witchery is about simplicity over formality.  It is the down and dirty events of every day life.  We all have so much on our plates, we usually look to fill it very simply whenever possible!  Formal workings are not elaborate planned magickal workings, but involved processes of creating with our own two hands.  In Kitchen Witchery, mopping the floor can be a magickal experience;  loading the dishwasher can bring joy under the right circumstances.  Falling into the couch, snuggled in a blanket, with the kids in bed after a long days work is pure bliss. 

It is the enjoying of the simple life.  It is the love of being and doing.  It is knowing that your every day actions are not just important, but a sacred part of your existence.
