Since the beginning of time there have always been games, but with in the last twenty years is when people started to become involved in a new craze called videogaming. The creator of gaming is often credited as Ralph Baer creator of 'The Brown Box' and first gaming system 'The Odyssey'. The Brown Box was the first 'turn-dial' gaming system which meant there was a small dial which was turned to control the game on the screen the game which The Brown Box played was an early version of the famous videogame Pong. Pong was an early development of a virtual style ping pong, table tennis, game which involved two 'paddles' which were represented by two white bars and the ball was represented by a white dot on the screen. The goal was to get more points than your opponent, the computer, by getting the ball past the opponent's paddle. Many gaming systems have come out since The Brown Box, and The Odyssey even though Baer is rarely given enough credit and some gamers refuse to acknowledge him as the creator of videogames. One of the most recognized systems by gamers is the Sega Genesis and the Atari 2600 which can both be found time to time here on eBay, but the most recognized gaming system by everyone is probably Nintendo's NES and SNES which stood for Nintendo Entertainment System and Super Nintendo Entertainment System. After the SNES Nintendo moved on to the N64, Nintendo 64. The Nintendo 64 lost it's value to Sony who realeased the Playstation (PS1) to the public. Nintendo later came back with the Gamecube which was the least selling console out of the three at the time Sony's Playstation 2 (PS2), and Microsoft's Xbox. After the Xbox, Microsoft opened its doors early into the nextgen war with the Xbox 360. After the 360 Sony released the Playstation 3 Novemeber 17th, 2006. Nintendo released their system two days later on November 19th, 2006.
