Well, it's been a while since my last post and that's because we've been flat strap moving into our new warehouse, training our new staff member and unpacking new products.
On top of that, we're off to Melbourne today to speak at the World Internet Summit about how to make money on eBay.
The days seem to fly but its all good and I'm even more in love with my eBay business now that I have a staff member. Even though my business is already 85% automated, Genta (her name) has taken up the other 15% of daily work Matt and I still did. And enjoyed.
We now get to work ON the business and find new ways to grow it. Genta is an angel and runs my business like clockwork. Best of all she's had her own eBay business for 5 years!
And talking about growing it, I still get so many emails asking me how to get started on eBay. My answer is always the same. Apart from educating yourself with the right information (Information = Power) the best way to get going is to simply sell all your unwanted stuff around the house.
Don't wait till everything is all perfect. Just start selling. Open your selling account, find something to sell, take a few great photos of it, list it in the right category, make sure the title description is right, choose the time frame for your auction....and simply launch it.
If you've done everything right you should make money unless you're selling rubbish. Remember...eBay is no junk yard. People don't go to eBay to buy rubbish, the go there to find bargains.
This is exactly how we started in our eBay business before we got real serious. It's not a race. Go at your own pace. You can and will succeed if you do it the right way. I'm telling you this from my own experience.
Remember...I made some mistakes the first time and still made $133.50! I even spelt the title description wrong and this is THE most important part!
So if I can do it...so can you.
eBay suggests that every home in Australia has AT LEAST $2,200 worth of stuff sitting around that you longer want or need.
After you've sold everything you can, start to think of other ways you can get your never ending supply of products to sell.
Do you have a hobby you could turn into an information product?
Do you think you'd like to sell other peoples things and take a nice profit?
Could you find all your products on eBay from sellers who have no idea what they're doing?
What about products from around your local area?
Have you thought about becoming an international drop shipper where other people handle the products and you simply make the sale?
What about importing? Does this interest you?
How about buying direct from wholesalers? There's hundreds and thousands of them out there. What about approaching some of these guys?
You see, there's simply so much on offer my mind boggles thinking about it!
Once you know exactly WHAT you're doing and WHY you're doing it, you will never sit there wondering what to do again.
This is absolute POWER over your own destiny.
Please don't take this post lightly. You must learn the steps and make your move now before you drive yourself nuts trying to go it alone.
