HI Im a new pet owner. We just got our Shih Tzu puppy and everyone in the family adores him. In a day we have him, he was scratching all over his body. My husband was thinking he might have some tick or flea on him. Well, it really freaked me out when I first time saw those tiney black beast and in a second I was out to buy some flea killers. Not enough time to do all the research and I just grab whatever the cheapest in the store. Thinking it is only for temporary use untill we have a Vet visit. I bought a spray, stain, odor remover, shampoo flea killer and a colar everything from Hartz. I believed I paid around $28.00 for everything. So reading all those directions and how to used the products, really made me think of my 3 small children around the house and esp. my 16 months old daughter who plays a lot and spends more time with our Dog " Sky" than any one in the house and spraying those products all over the dogs area would limit our access to the house either. After a week Sky start scratching so bad again, minute for minute he would giggle and scratch. So I made some research on the internet ( Like I alsways do) And found it very helpful. From the hairbrush to wipes. I was so intersted how those natural products will work and which one of them is the best? Of course this time I wont save money for the sake of our health esp. our access to Sky and his areas. Why buy a puppy if you can not touch him all the time? And also it is not all that healthy for a puppy to treat him with all those chemicals, they are just like us, we dont want any chemicals in our body either. I do personally shop most of our foods organic, I feel better that way. To provide something natural for the whole family is what you can do and give. So anyway, today, I went to petco and it is the only place I know in our area. We went there the first day we got Sky and I was sdhocked at those prices and sworn never to buy a shampoo and all the grooming products for over $10.00. Well, they are much more expensive than my own organic shampoo. But the second time around, I went in there and didnt bother to look at the prices, I once ask the groomer, which is the best and healthiest pet products she can refer. And she is pretty much helpful by this. Only we have differeces about the smells. I told her I need something for my dog and my childrens safety. She refers me " Herbal Flea Spray from NaturVet" for pets and bedding. It doesnt say anything about Warnings at all and the ingredients are: Rosemary, cedar,. water mineral our and lanolin. I also grad some natural shampoo with neem oil ( havent use it yet- next week) then also natural spray and normal shampoo from tropical...? All natural. By the way I paid over $50.00 for all the grooming products. So I came home and excited to use this Herbal product. I sprayed it 6- 8 inches away from Sky's body and rub it all over, and comb his coat, too which he didnt like much. IN FIFTEEN MINUTES, TO MY SURPRISE UNTIL NOW 1 HOUR AFTER I RUB THIS PRODUCT .....HE IS STILL NOT SCRATCHING......ANYWHERE! AND THE TOP OF THAT, MY CHILDREN CAN PAT HIM AND TOUCH HIM AND CUDDLE HIM WITHOUT ANY WORRIES. Of course they still need to wash their hands but only before eating anything. And by the way, this product also smells so wonderfully and naturally unlike the cologne I bought for him it was too much of the perfume and alcohol (its not good for any coat either). We dont tolerate those kinds of smell. So I m please with his natural botanicl smell. I JUST WANT TO PASSED THIS ON, I KNOW FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME , NEW TO PETS, IT IS SO CONFUSING OUT THERE BUT IF YOU WANT TO BUY SOMETHING OR ANYTHING GO FOR THE NATURE BECASUE THEY ARE NATURE TOO AND THEY SUPPOSE TO LIVE IN THE NATURE NOT WITH CHEMICALS
