Paintball Wizard's Ebay Store- This may be a little long winded.  If you would like some assistance choosing a marker or any other equipment please feel free to click our link and email us your questions, we are here to help.  We focus on the customer getting what is right for them at the right price.

The reason for writing this is because we get asked this question 20 times a day.  The question most people ask is which gun is better, gun A or gun B?  This has to be one of the toughest questions to answer because every person is different.  The questions we ask customers to help narrow it down are as follows.

1. The first and most important question is how much is a person looking to spend.  We do not want a person to spend over their means, we want them to be happy after the purchase and not regret spending too much or too little.

2. Once a customer has established a price range we like to know what type of paintball they intend on playing and how much (ex. speedball, woodsball/scenario or both).  This is a good question because this can narrow your selection.  Knowing how much a customer would like to play is good to see how serious they will get into the sport.  If you are going to play alot you want to spend a little more on a gun.  We have many customers who buy a cheap gun to start and come back in 2 months and spend alot more.  Unfortunately when they come back the first gun they bought isnt worth as much.

3. Another question we like to ask is how well a person will take care of their equipment?  The reason for this is because there are some guns on the market that are great guns but require a little more care.  On the other hand there are guns that are bullet proof and you can do nothing and it will work all the time.

Once you have established these answers it is time to start looking at the actual markers.  Remember, there is no such thing as a gun that you can only use for one type of play.  A scenario gun can be used in speedball and a speedball style gun can be used in woods/scenario play.  This is just the pros and cons to some guns.  If you need more information please email us and we will be happy to help you out.

For the Woods player/Scenario player-  The major guns in this market is the Tippmann, Spyders, and BT line of markers.  Yes, there are many other brands, unfortunately there are too many to list.

Tippmann such as the Model 98 Custom, A5, and the new X7 are your bullet proof guns that have many upgrades available for them.  They have different models that are semi auto, electronic, and also reactive triggers.  In my opinion they are some of the most durable and reliable guns on the market.  These guns tend to have the lowest maintenance of all markers.

The Kingman Spyders offer a low price, good quality line of markers.  There are many different spyders from semi auto to electronic and the MR series which is geared toward the Scenario market. The Spyder guns tend to need a little more cleaning and maintenance but are very easy to work on.

Once you start looking at the middle to high range markers there are almost too many choices and too many options to list.  The most popular right now in the mid range market are as follows.

1. Smart Parts Ion- Low priced tournament grade gun with hundreds of upgrades available.  The only downfall which some people will disagree on is that they can only work on compressed air/nitro.  It is said that they can work on CO2 but I would not personally do it.  Too many customers have come in with problems after using CO2 and the gun will not work to its full potential.

2. Proto Matrix Rail (PMR)- This is another great gun with alot of upgrades.  I cannot say enough good things about this marker.  Out of the box it is a fast, accurate, consistent maker.  This marker does require some basic maintainence but it is worth it.

3. Invert Mini- Considered the smallest and lightest gun out there.  It is another great gun that is fast out of the box.  The only true downfall to the mini right now is that there are limited upgrades.

There are many others in that range but I have just listed some key examples.

By the time you hit the high end range ( $800+) you most likely already know what you are looking for.  If you do not the best thing to do is to try to fire one.  If you are thinking of getting a particular one try to find someone who owns one and shoot it.  The key guns in this range are the Eclipse 07 Ego, Dye DM7, and a few others.

I hope this will help some of you.  If not please email us.  There is way to much information to type here, it would take days.  We are here to help and want you to get the best marker for the money.  Feel free to email us.

Thanks
