It's true that most of humanity is striving for more. And, sure it's true that we girls especially love those designer labels. But how can you be sure that you getting just what you think you are getting? Afterall, does getting a bargain necessarily mean you are getting anything less than what's promised? If it looks like a duck and quakes like a duck, it must be a duck, right? Eh, not necessarily. With the demand for Designer Goods in the US and around the world ever increasing we are bound to find the level and quality of knock-offs increasing. These days, its pretty hard to tell at least at a distance, what's real and what's fake. You, the consumer are not going to be able to tell the difference on-line and here at Ebay it can be impossible, impossible that is untill you get it in your hands.

Today, there is 3370 Dolce & Gabbana listings here at Ebay. Just how many of them are Authentic is hard to say at least by the descriptions given by the sellers. However, back in the 1997 Autumn/Winter Season, D&C decided to introduce an anti-imitation system made up of both visible and invisible elements. The goal has been to better protect their trademark and thereby limit the attempts of Counterfeiting. So how can you be sure that the item you have received is a Promised and in fact, Genuine Dolce & Gabbana? Make sure that the Certificate of Authenticity bears a Hologram, and that the Woven Label inside the article has this same Hologram. The Hologram is Heat-Pressured with a Safety Seal whose Braiding contains an identification thread that is reactive to Ultra-Violet Light (Sun Rays). The foreground of the label shows an "&" symbol, together with a series of Micro-Texts which actually reproduce the trademark. You'll notice with much of the counterfeit items that even bother to recreate a near believeable tag or certificate that this precise Hologram will NOT be present.

Remember, if you receive a questionable item from a sellers who promissed the real thing report it to Ebay so that VERO can investigate. Let's keep our community honest. And if you dont care about authenticity dont complain when you are sold a bill of goods. You really do get what you pay for. Knock-offs will end up in the trash fairly quickly as they are just poorly made, and why not? It's not their good name that they are representing. :)
