When buying Waterford Crystal the piece will always be marked with the Waterford logo ALWAYS..Marquis is the cheapest Waterford made as it is made from the broken pieces of the high end Waterford..Waterford made outside of Ireland is also cheaply made..All good Waterford crystal should come from Waterford Ireland..There is a magazine to help anyone who is new to this called "Cashs of Ireland" The green seahorse is great to have but not always avaiable in such instances as if someone has washed the piece. The original box should be a blue/grey and the tissue paper marked entirely Waterford Crystal..Hope this has beed helpful to anyone selling or buying..
