Have any of you had the experience of watching a T.V.  Food Ad and then can't wait until you have a chance to sample the item?  Then when you go to purchase it the item does not even come close to the T.V. commerical?

I recently saw the Subway prime rib sandwich commerical on T.V.. Wow it really was enticing. A beautiful rare peice of meat carefully sliced and layed in layers throughout the bun. The reality when I went to purchase one at the local Subway fast food place the prime rib was tiny peices nothing like the T.V. ad. It was strips of gristle filled dark meat, well done, dried out strips that were about one inch by two inches. It was absolutely nothing like the photo of the lucious prime rib sandwich advertised.

I ask the servers working there for the manager of that particular establishment because I wanted them to know how horrible the presentation was rationalized as compared to the T.V. ad.

They put me off and were evasive however they did agree with me that the so called prime rib was not very good and that roast beef actually looked better.

They told me I would get better results if I contacted the main Subway chain office.

I have had the same thing happen at other fast food establishments it seems like anything advertised with steak or prime rib falls far short of those advertised.

Do any of you have the same experience? I cannot believe with the poor service and quality and these places still seem to stay in business?  Another pet peeve is when the people who work in the fast food industry often do not wear their plastic gloves as required by the public health inspectors or actually handle everything including money with the same gloves that they wear when handling the food.

It is no wonder large numbers of people are getting ill throughout the country.

Thanks, Woody
