Art of Disney Cross Stitch Kits are wonderful things. They
usually sell for $45 - $50, and are well worth the cost, as they can
only be purchased in Walt Disney World, come with all the bells and
whistles (beads and specialty yarns), and are huge, gorgeous frameable
designs once they're finished. There's one that shows Mickey
Mouse saluting in front of an American Flag, and one where Mickey is
shaking the hand of a fireman. The finished design for these are
10 3/4" x 15 1/4" and 16" x 20" respectively.

I was avidly searching for these kits as I was unable to purchase them on my trip to Walt Disney World. I found them on eBay, and almost placed bids on them. Almost. After closer inspection, the designs I was bidding on were much smaller, under 10" x 10", and cost almost the same. They are also illegal, as the designs that they are based on are already liscenced to a manufacturer of cross stitch kits. Lucky for me, I found this discrepency before wasting a lot of money.
These two kits are not the only ones being sold illegally on eBay, or elsewhere online for that matter. There is some excellent software out there that can create a cross stitched version of any picture you input, and most versions will give you a list of what thread to use in any brand that is commercially available. There are even some free versions or websites. Many people are buying this software and selling either just the pattern, or making a kit using the suggested threads. This is a great investment, as long as the photograph you use is not copyrighted.
Be careful when either buying or creating these types of kits.
