The secret in keeping your oilily socks in fluffy and soft condition is this, 1. Handwashing 2. turn them inside out when washing 3. lay flat or hang to dry after re-shaping. Follow these three tasks and your socks will be like new every time you put them on. The handwashing is done to remove dirt and oder while not abusing the threads or coloring. Use warm water. When washing, turning them inside out allows the soft fluffy threads to expand and get clean also allowing them to cushion your feet after. When they dry, you should try to shape them  and then lay them flat and air dry or hang them and let them air dry.It allows them to fluff up even more and not to lose any color or size. This I have found is the best way to wash Oilily socks. It may take a few moments longer, but it is well worth it. My personal opinion is this, use "The Laundress" to clean. I have found this soap one of the best for not only socks but lingerie. I am sure there are others, this is just my suggestion. Thank you and enjoy your oilily socks.
