Hi folks, if you're buying a Casio camera on Ebay, I suggest you to reconsider since Casio only "sees" warranty on their cameras is valid if you HAVE A PROOF OF PURCHASE and DATE OF PURCHASE, in other words is your receipt from retail store. If you buy a Casio camera on Ebay, you likely have no or even you have a receipt from the Ebay seller, it does not work with Casio policies. See the quote from Casio repair site and its warranty policies on cameras and ways your warranty does not count: line (7):
" (1) The problem is caused by improper, rough or careless treatment.
(2) The problem is caused by a fire or other natural calamity.
(3) The problem is caused by improper repair or adjustment made by
anyone other than a CASIO service center.
(4) The problem is caused by battery leakage, bending of the unit, broken display or key.
(5) The case or battery is damaged or worn.
(6) Maintenance requested consists of repair or replacement of options, accessories, software, or consumables. (AC adaptor, cable, battery, etc.)
(7) The proof of purchase is not presented when requesting service.
(8) The warranty period has expired. "
I encountered this matter when my EX-Z4U camera stopped working suddenly without being dropped or improperly using.
