It's good to get an non-brand MP4 player with about $50 compare to an Ipod over $100. However, what we get may not make us happy when we regconized that we are being fooled by the memory capacity.

I won a 4Gb MP4 player for the price $50. When I tried to download the second folder into it, I got a problem with the memory. When the folder size get up to 1Gb, the player are not able to handle it. The folders was being multiple and memory being overflown for example, K: top hit- top hit - top hit- top hit. The folder was being repeated randomly .

On the PC, I saw memory get to 1.8Gb, even though two folders combinded about 1Gb. And the player was not able read the second folder. And I was not able to delete the repeated folder. When I formated the Player, It showed only 960Mb. That was the actual memory capacity of the player. And it worked correctly with this capacity.

The reasons for that because the producer had cracked the firmware to displace a fake capacity usually 4x the actual capacity, for instance 1Gb showed as 4Gb, 256Mb showed as 1Gb...

The problem is that, many ebay sellers base on  this problem to sell cheap MP4 players with the fake capacity to get great dirty profit and pulling the spreading out of the fake producs. Some give the warning in the advertisment like. Do not format the player, you will delete all the neccessary files to run the player. This is just a cheating way to cover the fact of the fake capacity.
