Hello Folks

I would like to adress an Issue that affects you and your families safety. The internet has become flooded with counterfeit Auto parts. These parts are a serious danger to you. These Items are usually made in Taiwan with very little or no concern for safety and quality. They look just like and are sold as Genuine Auto Parts. These parts carry popular brand names like ACDelco , Motorcraft Etc. Beware many of these parts are fakes, and have caused numerous car fires and fatalities. So you ask, how can i know if the part I'm buying is for real or a fake?

 Here are a few tips

* If the price is too good to be true be careful. Check with your local dealer as a starting point. Get their price, then get online to Ebay and other websites and compare the prices. Everybody who sells legitimate auto parts pays the exact same price to get them from tthe manufacturer. If the price is 40% or lower of what the dealer is selling it for be very careful, the part is most likely a counterfeit.

* Many sellers will not list the part number. This is a red flag if they do not list the genuine part number, you can be assured its a fake, All legit sellers list the part number so that you know what you will be getting, and can compare prices across the net.

* As a major ebay auto parts seller i can honestly tell you that we receive 10-20 emails from china and Taiwan weekly. These emails tell us that they can make the parts we are selling, and sell them to us for 80% less than what we are paying now to get them From Chrysler Ford GM Etc.
* If it comes in a plain white box  with no part number or just a part number with no identifying manufacturer it is most likely not genuine.

The following pictures are from U.S congressman Mike Rogers website. The problem has become so bad, that now congress is getting involved!

* Many sellers and even some well known auto parts stores are now engaging in an act called "reboxing" , "relabeling" or "repackaging" Basically what this is is they are taking a Counterfeit or Aftermarket part, Creating a new label on a printer and putting it in a box that looks just like the manufacturers packaging.  A sign of this is a faded looking label, or the ink rubs off the label easily with just a touch.

* Look closely at the packaging. Does the label say ACdelco or AZdelco?  Motorcraft or Motorkraft. be careful packaging errors are the easiest way to tell. Most counterfeiters do not speak english well, and there will usually be some Misspelled words on the label or packaging.

Visit our ebay store for genuine parts, no counterfiets or junk!
