This guide is for both buyers and sellers of wall stickers.
Sellers: Recently many of these listings were removed by ebay including one of mine out of dozens that I have. At first it baffled me, but I did a little research. The Mcall Pattern company reported my listing as violating their intellectual property. As it turns out, they own the word "Wallies" LOL. Prior to this, I didn't even know the company existed, but sure enough they sell decorative stickers for a far higher price than many of us here on Ebay do. Understandably, they reported many listings that included the word "Wallies". Please be aware that this word is a brand name. I'll admit, I thought it was regional term because many of my customers thanked me for the stickers and used this word to refer to them.
Buyers: You also need to be aware when buyer or bidding on these because if you see the term wallies being used and it is not that particular brand, the listing can be removed even after you make the purchase. At that point you will not be able to access any information on the listing, and could possible lose your money. Ebay removes all information when they do this and it could be very hard for you to track down the seller, and vice-versa for the seller to find your mailing info.
Hopefully this guide is helpful to all those that were baffled by the recent listing removals. Good luck, happy buying and selling!
