WWE Chipz are a new collectible produced by Topps that feature your favorite WWE Superstars on 'poker-chip' style chips...

Each Chipz has a picture of the superstar on the front and a facsimile signature or superstar name on the back. Each chip also has a Power Rating (somewhat based on the power of the superstar and somewhat on popularity).

The Chipz are similar to lightweight "real" poker chips.

WWE Chipz were first released in Europe and have just hit the U.S. market (as of February 2009).  Some information can be found at www dot wwechipz dot com. (But the checklist is for the European release NOT the Series Three US Release).  There are other Chipz sets for at least Spongebob and for professional soccer (there may be others, but those are the ones I found with my research).

The U.S. WWE Chipz have a 90-chip set:  63 Common, 17 Foil, 9 Silver Foil, and 1 Gold Foil (John Cena)...As with most collectibles like this the Foil, Silver Foil and Gold Foil Chipz are found randomly in packs (1:2, 1:24, 1:72 respectively).  The 'rare' versions of superstars have higher Power ratings than the common versions.

The checklist and rules insert included in the booster packs have some pretty lame games...so me and my son created a couple better games to play:

"BOYAL BUMBLE" or "KINGLY KOMBAT": RULES OF THE GAME

Each player builds a stack (deck) by choosing Chipz whose total power rating is equal to or less than 30 (you could increase this number for a longer game).  A player may not duplicate wrestlers in his stack.

The youngest player will go first.

You need to have a flat, sorta square area...(the ring)

FLIP PHASE: 1) Flip a Chipz into the ring...face up = active, face down = not active. OR (not both) 2) Flip over a face-down Chipz (of yours) that is already in the ring.  If you flip a Chipz "into" the ring and it does not land in the ring it goes to the hospital (is removed from game).

PIN PHASE: If you have an active (face-up) Chipz AND an opponent has an active (face-up) Chipz, you can go for a pin (attack).  Compare the power ratings...highest wins!  In the case of a tie, all Chipz (see Interference Rule) involved in the Pin Attempt go to the hospital.  Winning Chipz stays in the ring and your opponent(s) goes to the hospital.  You do not have to go for a Pin and may end your turn without attempting a pin.

INTERFERENCE RULE (during Pin Phase; after an attack (pin attempt) is declared): When attacking OR defending, your Chipz may not be as powerful as your opponents...if so, you can choose 'Interference' and sacrifice an unplayed Chipz so that the total Power value is equal to or higher than your opponent's Chipz...if you choose to do so, your winning Active Chipz stays in the ring and your 'Interfering' Chipz is sacrificed (sent to the hospital)...each player can only have one Chipz/wrestler interfer per Pin Phase.

END OF TURN: If a player has no Chipz in the ring and no Chipz in his stack...he loses.

NEXT TURN!

The Interference Rule and the choosing of your wrestlers for your "stack/deck" make this game more foucesd on strategy.  Should you pick 3 9-pointers or 6 5-pointers?  Should you go for a pin? Will they interfere? Should you interfere or counter-interfere (remember, ALL (attacking and defending) interfering Chipz are removed from game!)?

T-A-G SPELLS "TAG!" Rules of the Game

Similar to the card game WAR...take a stack of Chipz (like the extra commons you have)...you do not want to 'mix' collections and end up with arguments...

Divide the chips evenly between players...each player at the same time flips over the next chip in his/her stack.  The Chipz with the highest power wins...winner gets the Chipz.  If they have the same power rating...then each player lays out the next three Chipz face-down...while saying "T-A-G spells...TAG!"...lay down the fourth Chipz as you both say "TAG!"...the winner gets ALL the Chipz...repeat if neccessary (another tie)...should be pretty familar (I think we have all played WAR)...you can add rules for Diva Chips being like Aces etc)...the winner is the one that ends up with all the Chipz.

I hope you have fun with these games...my son and I just wanted a better option than tossing closest to a target!
