PLEASE, after reading this, take a moment to click on whether or not this guide was helpful to you. The options are at the bottom of this page. Thank you.

When using resin cast parts, if they are distorted and/or warped, the items can be heated with a hair/blowdryer to soften them (they will soften quickly depending on thickness) and then 'placed' or twisted, in any shape that is needed. The same goes for styrene plastic, though it has been my experience, with bodies anyway, that the resin heats and softens quicker, so some experimentation is called for.

And above all, it does require patience. Don't get the item too hot right away, just a little may do the trick, especially on the 'HIGH' setting for heat.

Though a more extensive read, more information here. Copy and paste to your URL filed: http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=591215194&size=l&context=set-72157600476054295

One more tip when using this idea on a body. I just recently took the warp out of a resin cast school bus body, but I got it extremely warm and I needed the hold one corner up until it cooled. Lacking the patience to stand there until it cooled, I set the body on a flat surface and got a fork, a spoon would do also (no need to look for the right item with just the right thickness). The slanted or wedged handle makes a great tool. Just slide it under one corner, in just as far as needed, to raise that corner and let the body sit, go do something else as the body cools in the position that you need it to be in.

Also, please DO NOT soak my resin cast parts in anything. Just wash them in mild soap and water, dry them and then give them a light primer coat of paint, let dry, then paint the items.

When gluing resin cast parts, I like to use the Super Glue GEL, it's a lot less messy. Scuffing the mating surfaces is a plus for holding power.

PLEASE, SOMETHING I NEED HELP WITH. I use Scribbles paint bottles in my casting process. They are the bottles of paint that are used for making designs on fabric. I am always in need of those empty bottles but they need to have a certain tip on them. If you know someone that uses these to the point of being empty, I would like to buy them and I will pay twenty cents per empty bottle with the correct tip. Email me through one of my auctions and I can send you a picture of the bottle with the correct tip that I need to have on the bottle.
