Delray Beach, Florida:   Has it all...beautiful beaches, great restaurants & lots of sun!  Try staying at the Marriott Hotel right on the beach, it is $$$$ but worth it.  Walk right across the A1A to the beach or stay on property and swim the day away or hit the hotels four star Nancy Reagan Spa.  The Spa is gorgeous, get a fabulous facial or massage and sit outside on the plush sofas and take in the ocean views.  Try their chocolate shots (sorry no liquor) complimentory while waiting for your treatments -- they are fantastic.  Or...have a fabulous lunch afterwards.   Make sure to stop in at the South Ocean Beach Shop across the street to pick up some sunscreen and such...much cheaper than picking up items at the hotel.  Say hello to long time owners, Diana, Gene & Pam.  Be sure to have breakfast at Bostons on the Beach or at Lunarosas, a short walk from the hotel...If you plan to hit the beach for an all day event, be sure to spend the money on a  Cabana and chairs, offered daily by the beach service. If you love to exercise, take a long walk on the sidewalks that line the beach...be sure to pack your sneakers, you will take more than one stroll while you are there.  Palm Beach is relatively close, get there by driving along the A1A, a beautiful day trip, not too far from where you are staying.  Be sure to check out the famous Breakers Hotel (treat yourself to lunch or dinner).  For the kids, dont miss the Lion Country Safari, a 45 minute drive...bound to be one of the highlights of their trip.  Should you desire to see more than one coast of Florida...drive over to the West Coast & see Naples -- around  a 3 hour drive from Delray Beach.  Read my review on where to stay for  luxurious four star accomodations in Naples & golf aplenty.  Make sure to check the box as to whether this guide was helpful to you.
