WHERE & HOW TO LOCATE ITEMS TO SELL ON EBAY: THE IN'S & OUT'S
Everyone, everywhere has items sitting around their home, office, etc. that gets moved from one location to the other and never has a home of it's own. I mean really, something that never gets used, that is taking up valuable space, that is just in the way and that really serves no purpose for them in any manner. Well, what you can't use, someone else can, and Ebay gives us all the opportunity to clean out our areas and make them more liveable for us while seeing the changes that these items can do in someone else's life. Just look around, ooh sorry but there it is, a three hole punch,
of which I already have a electronic one in use daily (received the day that I bought this one) and it really has not been used. It's brand new. Well, guess what, it is perfect for Ebay!
I know that is just one item and you are asking "Is one item really worth all the trouble?" For this I say, "Keep looking!" It gets more fun the more you look. Don't you get excited at the thought of gaining more room for more stuff, I do, as does my husband (the ebay nut); however, he just likes adding to the mess! Oh, look it's something else , a movie that we never watched because my husband decided that it wasn't what he wanted. WOW, there are 50 movies here that we only watched one time and will never watch again. We also found many music CD's, old LP's, crafted items galore, and the list goes on. Just be sure that the items that you select are items that you wouldn't mind receiving from someone on ebay. This means basically do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Be nice not mean!
OK! You have a pile of items that you think are great for a garage sale but why sell your items for one day and still get left with the loss of your time and the loss of space from those items that do not sell. Here's your chance, take detailed, well lit (use utility lights), photos of the items in your pile and get ready for the real fun. Sit down at your computer and pull up your Ebay. Now check around and research the possible prices that you can get for your items as well as determine the amounts that you are going to start your bidding at. Once those steps are done now go to the Sell link at the top of the Ebay pages and follow the instructions until you have submitted your auction. When you get to the Item Title & Description pages be honest, detailed, and, for goodness sakes, have fun; remember that when you have fun, your buyers have fun. Make your starting bid believable, do not get stingy, be generous, it was in your way to begin with, remember. Finally, use USPS as your primary shipper, they will supply you with the largest portion of your packaging needs for Priority Mail and Express Mail, rather than you having to guess at what the types of parcels are. Ebay has gone to many extremes to make the listing of your products for sale as user friendly as possible and they continue to work on the ease of this option. I have gotten to where I can list 250 items in two hours. It is really too easy and makes other methods of moving this stuff seem sort of old fashioned & I'm old myself.
Yippy, I have items listed just look at My Store now all I have to do is sit back and answer any questions that I have and wait. I'll even check on that hole punch , there it is and it already has 2 people watching it. Looks like this one will sell soon. It does seven days later for a lot more than even I expected. Just like some of your may.
Now comes the fun stuff, package your sold items (once payment is received) as though you are packaging a fine piece of China. Be generous with the packing supplies, I've found that the remnants from the paper shredder works wonderfully well as well as recycling the peanuts that you received in items that you have purchased. Don't be afraid to send a small thank you gift with a card and the receipt for the item and the payment.
If you have followed all of the above listed tricks to this trade, not only will you feel a great sense of accomplishment but those that visit your listings will feel that they have had an unbelievable Purchasing experience and visit you again.
Ebay is a WIN, WIN for everyone and if everyone that trades through Ebay feels the same can you imagine the PARTY that we could have!
Your problem items can always be someone else's IT!
