WHAT KIND OF MAKEUP SHOULD I WEAR TO LOOK GREAT IN PICS

I thought this would be a great opportunity to share with you how to look your holiday best in front of the camera! Since it is the holiday season and we are going to be smiling alot at Office parties, family get togethers, and various celebrations, why not share with you some helpful hints to make your face glow with holiday cheer!

First of all you need to even out your skin by applying a face lotion or a moisturizing primer.  This will plump skin and soften wrinkles. Our primer will prepare your skins surface for an ultra smooth foundation application. Hide dark circles with a concealer because the camera accentuates darkness.  Avoid translucent powders, as they appear pasty and will zap color.  I recommend our Velvet Veil Lotion to prime and moisturize your skin and our yellow corrector to make those dark circles disappear!

Visit our store for Velvet Veil and Yellow Mineral Corrector

Second, define facial features as they do tend to seem smaller in photos.  I recommend lining your top and bottom lids using a brown, navy or charcoal pencil.  Avoid black pencils as they are too harsh in photos.  Use a lip pencil no more than 2 tones deeper than your natural lip hue to line and fill in your lips. Color is also key, I recommend a soft brown or sand shadow for lids and a simple light pink color for your lips! That was easy enough, wasn't it?!

A variety of eyeshadows are available in our store!

Third, brighten your skin to keep flash from washing you out.  I recommend wearing a foundation one shade darker than you normally would and opt for matte formulations.  I would also recommend dusting a bronzer over your cheeks, chin, and nose.  Don't wear anything too glimmery because it contains light-reflecting particles that can cause a glare.  Our mineral foundations have a matte finish that will easily give you an airbrushed appearance.  If you follow these 3 steps, you will have all the makings for a picture perfect holiday!

Hoping you are all smiles this holiday season!!
