Many times people have come to our facility and asked "what is the difference between new and remanufactured parts?"

The answer is that there is little if any differences beyond the price:

a new part would typically cost hundreds or thousands of dollars more than a re-man part.

The only place you can get a genuinely new part is from the car dealer while the reman version is widely available through Napa, Discount Auto Parts, Pep Boys..........

The warranty for re-man parts are typically longer than even the new parts. 

Lastly if there was an original design defects with the seals or otherwise they are corrected when the part is remanufactored with newer versions.
