From time to time the Wee Forest Folk factory has painted special color WFF for specific stores, called Store Specials. These specials are limited in number (usually 100) and often get higher prices when sold on the secondary market than their actual retail price, but not always. If you see a store special listed, you might want to contact the store who had the special and see if the special has sold out or not. If a special is popular and has sold out, prices tend to rise quickly on the secondary market, then drop off after a few months. Store specials were once a hot commodity and were often purchased to resell at a profit. This has cooled in the last year or two. But these pieces still tend to retain a higher value than the factory colors of the same piece and are usually a good buy if you want pieces to retain their value.
