Wee Forest Folk has several types of limited releases. A WFF Limited Edition can refer to a piece released in a limited number, such as a run of 1,500 pieces only. Examples of Limited Number Editions are At the Mouseum, Any Birdy Home, Where Have All the Cookies Gone, Welcome Trick or Treaters, and A Stitch in Time. The WFF factory also introduces Limited Editions that run for a specific period of time in which any number may be ordered. Examples of this type of Limited Time Edition are Tsunami Remembrance, A Cottage For all Seasons (Spring, Fall and Winter), Hope Light's the Way, and Donna's Angel. Similar to the Limited Time Edition is the Limited Time Color. The Limited Time Color is a new color of an existing piece (or a compilation of existing pieces) that is available to order in any quantity for a short time only, usually one month. Sometimes Limited Time Colors are given a new name, especially if a compilation piece such as Fancy That! which used both Hattie and Just Like Mommy. Examples of Limited Time Colors are Beach Party, Christmas Miss Bobbin, Halloween Sugar & Spice, and The Wee Valentine Family. Limited Time Colors are more expensive than their regular line colors as they are painted with more detail or have added accessories. Limited releases are considered retired once the issue number has been allotted to stores or once the ordering time frame has passed. Older Limited Edition pieces sell for far more than their issue price making them an excellent investment for those who were able to purchase them at issue price. Newer limited editions have not fared as well for investing, with most retaining their value or slightly higher values and some unpopular editions selling below their issue price.
