The small brass shield on ANYTHING  - with ANY MARK - is a dead givaway. 

Wells Fargo NEVER had items like this.  They are all recently made fantasy pieces.

Locks - telescopes - binoculars - lanterns - lamps with glass chimmneys - brass match cases - watch fobs , etc

People are also removing the tags and resoldering them on to old cast iron boxes which suddenly become WELLS FARGO MONEY BOXES !!!
