WEBKINZ S&H SCAM ALERT!!!

When you are bidding on WEBKINZ for the amazing prices that you find on Ebay, be sure to notice the S&H amount before bidding.  I have purchased Webkinz from several sellers and ALL but ONE had outrageously inflated shipping and handling prices. 

There seems to be a standard Webkinz S&H amount for many sellers and that is $6.95 for the first and $4.95 for each additional Webkinz or Lil Kinz.  And for this you will get First Class shipping with all of them crammed & smushed in a tiny envelope.  Then when you try to open the envelope they are right up against the sticky part of where the envelope closes and this will get part of their fur, tag, etc.  I've seen numerous complaints from buyers on sellers regarding poor packaging.  If your tag gets messed up, your child may be without the precious code!

Example of the BAD sellers:  I purchased three Webkinz from two different sellers, both had the $6.95 plus $4.95 for each additional.   I was charged $16.85 for S&H and both sellers crammed all three in an envelope that was WAY too small and the actual postage was $2.16 for one and $2.84 for the other!!!  OUTRAGEOUS!!

GOOD SELLER:   Seller "hopsjen1019" charges $4.95 for the first Webkinz and $1 for each additional.  Seller also has 100% positive feedback.  Items (all three) were still stuffed into a small envelope but at least this seller didn't charge 8 times the cost of postage like the others.  Charge was $6.95 for $2.33 postage (plus handling) but compared to other Webkinz sellers this is about the most reasonable you will find.

You can go to usps . com to calculate postage based on the weight (it is listed on the label, it will be in ounces) and you just put in the zip code it was coming from and the zip code it was going to.  These sellers use the kind of labels where you can't SEE the amount of postage they paid....another trick.

These sellers offer a "money back guarantee minus S&H" so they charge enough so that they get their profit no matter what because they are overcharging for S&H.

When paying $16.85 for S&H on lighweight items, the least they could do is ship them in a box.  AND you can also get Priority Mail for less than $5 on these lightweight items.  And sellers can get FREE Priority boxes from the post office or usps . com (with free shipping).   And there would be less worry of damage in transit when the items are shipped in a box.

These sellers are just being cheap and are trying to avoid paying higher Ebay listing fees & final value fees by figuring their profit into the S&H amount (they do not pay listing fees for S&H).  This is a scam all the way around, against the buyers and also Ebay.

Buy from HONEST sellers who charge a REASONABLE shipping and handling amount.  Reasonable would be the cost of postage and packaging materials, etc.  A reasonable amount for US shipping for three Webkinz would be less than $7.00 from an honest seller.  For one it would be $4.95 or less.

Don't buy from these rip-off sellers and  complain to Ebay if you are a victim of these inflated shipping & handling charges.
