How do you keep those expensive new leotards looking as fresh as the day you bought them?

Hand wash the leotard in a sink full of cold water.  Use a good handful of table salt in the water to clean and sanitize the leotard.  This also helps keep the fabric colors from running.  Do not rub the fabric together.  Remove the leotard immediately, do not let it soak.  Lay the leotard on a towel and roll it up to remove excess water, then hang it to dry.

We have found that any soaps/detergents can make the colors run.  Oxygenated cleaners are DEATH on the newer metallic fabrics.  DO NOT USE THEM!!!  Do not use bleach, or dryer sheets.  Certain deoderant/antipersperant will also discolor metallic fabric.  Salt will keep that leotard looking fresh every time.

Enjoy your new leotard!!!
