Hello my fellow eBayers. Just a brief update on this growing problem with counterfeits on eBay. I have recently spoken at length with a representative from Callaway Golfs' Fraud Division and I'd like to share with you all what I have learned. There are absolutely no authentic Callaway golf clubs being sold out of China. Zip, ziltch, nada! Any club you buy that is being shipped from China is a fake. Period! Be very careful when the seller is from Canada as well. Check to see where they are shipping the club(s) from. Many sellers from Canada are selling Chinese counterfeits. (Most of them are shipping from Hong Kong.) And eBay has inadvertently made it easier for these sellers to get away with it. If you call Callaway at 1(800) 588-9836 and ask for their fraud division, then explain the situation to them, they will contact eBay directly. (They have an arrangement with eBay regarding the use of their intellectual property and therefore have more pull than you or I would.) It is up to each and every one of us to do our part to ensure that eBay remains a safe place to buy, sell and enjoy. Thanks for reading this and remember,...keep it in the fairway! Caveat Emptor!
