There is an issue which is really starting to make a horrendous impact on the designing industry - copyright infringement.
Several sellers on EBay have already been censured, some have had their accounts suspended.
IT IS ILLEGAL TO COPY A CHART AND SELL THE COPY. IT IS ILLEGAL TO USE A TRADEMARK OR COPYRIGHTED IMAGE WITHOUT THE OWNER'S PERMISSION. Period.
If you are a buyer who has bid on or purchased a chart only to find that it is a copy of the original chart once it is received, you can take the following steps:
1. Contact EBay's Copyright Department IMMEDIATELY. If you paid for your purchase through PayPal, file a claim through them as well. If you get no results through PayPal or EBay, contact your credit card company and file a dispute.
2. Contact the original designer or publisher of the chart in question and lte them know you were sold an illegal copy of one of their designs; gather as much information about the seller as possible to forward to the owner of the copyrighted work.
If you are a buyer who has bid on or purchased a chart which is an illegal porttrayal of a copyrighted work (Disney items, Warner Bros, Looney Tunes, etc...), you can contact the owner of the copyrighted image directly to pass the information about the seller on to them.
