I'm just a regular guy who lives on the border of Michigan and Ontario Canada. I am in no way affiliated with either of the following companies, but I do wish to share my experience with you as I have had a great experience with one company and a horrible experience on ebay with another.

I had purchased a winch from each company, a Viper winch, 2 years ago for my ATV and recently, a Venom winch for my UTV. The people at moto alliance who sell Viper winches were a touch more money but MAN WERE THEY WORTH IT!

My dealings with Moto alliance and Viper winches: Nice people, great customer service and I received everything I was supposed to in a timely manner no hassels, no problems and everything worked and fit just fine and still does to this day. BEAUTIFUL!

Now for the people at Venomoutdoors: well first they sent me the wrong winch! I won a full size 4500LB UTV winch with the new synthetic line and I received a smaller sized ATV winch instead.

(Funny as venomoutdoors compare their full size UTV winch to the smaller one and what they call in their words "inferior ATV size winch that Viper sells") but venomoutdoors sent me the smaller winch and then told me that they are exactly the same performance and parts anyway, just a smaller spool and apparently the smaller winch will work just a good. Well I believed them and they gave me back a small credit for the difference instead of returning the whole winch (at my expense by the way!!) Me like a dummy, posted positive feedback for them before I installed or really looked at the winch and its parts and they promissed that they would "rough up their shipping manager a bit" as apparently he made numerous other errors to customers and sent out other wrong winches and parts not just to me. I still have this email and quote from Venomoutdoors/ Venom winches.

Well this is where the fun started, when I went to install the wrong smallerVenom winch that I agreed to keep (since it's the same as the larger one except for the spool size according to Venom) 3/4 of the way through installing, I found that the synthetic line they sent me as well as the aluminium fairlead (you can't use the winch without either one of these parts) were the WRONG PARTS!! So my Saturday is shot, my bike is 1/2 apart and I have a smaller winch with incorrect parts. According to Venomoutdoors, and venom winches on their web site they state that all of their products are inspected numerous times and their respective packaging receives a final inspection for quality and integrity prior to final shipping. Well isn't that a load of Cow Crap!

I am now fighting with Venomoutdoors and venom winches to get the proper parts for the wrong winch they sent me. Well I didn't read their other small print. I at my cost have to send back any incorrect parts YES at MY COST before they will send me any replacement parts. Then I asked Venomoutdoors to send the replacement parts to me with a pre paid call tag and I will return the wrong parts at the same time to alleviate any further costs to me as all these screw ups were all from their end.(remember I live on the border of Ontario Canada and Michigan and have to cross toll bridges and U.S. and Canada Customs and their fees) Well I had the winch sent to my U.S address as Venomoutdoors does not ship to Canada. Now for the best, venomoutdoors start giving me grief and a hard time, as if I caused them problems! They told me to go ahead and try and find a better price or better customer service anywhere and to return my winch if I was not happy (of course at my additional cost and time)

So let's see, So far from Venomoutdoors and Venom winches, I never recieved the product I actually won and paid for immediately, they B.S. me into keeping the wrong winch as it's the same anyway and clearly put the competition down (VIPER) in regards to the same smaller winch. THEN they send me the wrong parts for the wrong winch so I still can't install that one. THEN I have to put up with comments and grief from Venomoutdoors and Venom winches since they obviously have some serious internal problems with sending out proper products, plus there is no customer service, and if you want Venomoutdoors to help you because they screwed up, you have to take their sass and pay out of your pocket to hopefully receive the correct products that you paid for in the first place.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! Very simple boys and girls pay the few extra dollars and deal with VIPER and MOTO-ALLIANCE, it's worth it!!!

If you like punishment, waiting, getting wrong parts and being hassled with NO SERVICE, get a Venom winch from Venomoutdoors  I can't even tell you if the winch works well or not, as it is incomplete. Thank god I carry a come a long with me! Venom is poisonous, don't get bitten by these guys, purchase a Viper Winch and be satisfied!
