This Guide is a comment on the Revived popularity on Slot Cars today....This all Started in the Late 1950's-into early 60's the Slot car boom was going into full swing for several years ...This is when I received my first Slot Car Set for Christmas-My parents got me a Strombecker Sebring 1/32 scale set that was really great -till me and my brother wore the cars out and had to scratch build a few...hey we were kids and couldn't afford all the latest and fastest kit cars ! Now you can buy a RTR of just about any Race car with excelent detaling-FLY-Scalextric-Monogram to name a few and I have quite a few of these...I still find that building and collecting Vintage Slot cars to be very rewarding as cars can be detailed to your own likes and seem to create a time warp back to the Glory days of Slot car Racing...have you had these kind of feelings ?

If your Interested in Collecting or Racing Slot cars HO to larger 1/32-1/24 scale-I recommend getting a few books on the subject to get you started-I have found these books great for information and pictures of stuff you may want to collect or different tracks you can build....
