What is collectible about sewing buttons? Sewing button collecting is one of America's oldest hobbies and is still florishing today. All kinds of sewing/clothing buttons are collectible including new, vintage and antique examples. Buttons are/were made up of at least 40 different materials in all shapes, sizes and designs. Dig around your house, nearly everyone has a "button box". Many of us recall playing with our Mom or Grandmother's button box as kids. Who knows what is hiding there.
