In this guide, I will introduce you to the wonderful world of commercial perfume bottles made up of red glass.Colors range from luxurious opaque red to glorious transparent red to pretty pink.
These elegant beauties were produced mainly during the 1920s-1950s and most have Art Deco influences. I know I don't have every one listed, if I missed one, let me know! Coeur en Folie by Rosine: launched in 1925, heart shaped ruby red glass bottle with frosted angel wings for stopper.
Mascarade by LT Piver: launched in 1927, made of opaque red glass, molded with scrolling.
Parfum Pour Brunes by Lionceau: launched in 1925, made of opaque red glass, molded with floral motifs.
Oeillet by De Burmann: launched in 1930s, made of opaque red glass, made by Cristalleries de Nancy.
Geraine (Rose Geranium) by Renaud: launched in 1924, opaque red glass bottle, by Cristalleries de Nancy.
Gardenia by Odeon: launched in the 1920s, opaque red glass bottle with black glass stopper, bottles came in both long rectangular shapes and curved glass shapes. Bottles probably made by Cristalleries de Nancy.
Astris by LT Piver: launched in 1927, opaque pink glass bottle by Baccarat.
Silver Butterfly by Delettrez: launched in 1927, opaque pink glass bottle by Baccarat.
Desir du Coeur by Ybry: launched in 1925, opaque red glass overlaid clear crystal, by Baccarat. Other bottles came in a pinkish tone.
Cuir de Russie by Godet: launched in the early 1930s, opaque red glass bottlewith black glass stopper, molded floral decoration on front of bottle.These bottles were also used for two other Godet fragrances, Petite Fleur Bleue and Sous-Bois.
Femme Moderne by Myon: launched in 1938, opaque red glass overlaid clear crystal by Baccarat, same techinique as the Ybry bottles above.
Coeur de Feu: launched in the 1920s, frosted red heart shaped glass heart with gold enamel, on wooden base.
Duska by Langlois: launched in the early 1930s, opaque red stairstep bottle with black stopper.
Secret de Satan by Raffy: launched in 1930, red crystal bottle.
Tryst by Villon: launched in the 1920s, opaque red glass stairstep bottles, are identical to the ones for Duska by Langlois. Bottles made in France and came in various sizes.
