Honore Payan established his perfumery company in 1854 in Grasse and then moved to 33 boulevard Malesherbes,Paris

I was able to cull most of my info from The 1908 Sears & Roebuck catalog. An advertisement reads:

"We have now made arrangements with Honore Payan of Grasse, France, for the selling in America of his well known line of imported triple extract concentrated perfumes. The Payan line of perfumes on account of their delightful fragrance, delicate blend, lasting qualities,true representation of odor and their high quality have won for them a world wide reputation. It is by importing these perfumes direct that we can obtain them at a price enabling us to offer our customers these high grade perfumes at a price never before heard of in this country. Our special price- $0.50"
