NIK NAKS VINTAGE
Keeping up with the current fashion trends sure is expensive! Nowadays a cell phone is used as an accessory. With its every changing style, you have to keep up to "Stay in Style". From Blackberries, to Sidekicks, and now I-phones, our youth and even adults are going broke quick! Just the same, we go through fashion labels and styles that are in and then quickly out. The problem is that once everyone gets their hands on the SAME item, the excitement over it decreases. Fashion is a tricky thing, but really it doesn't have to be.
Vintage Clothing is, in most cases, an inexpensive way to be unique. It is a form of expressing oneself because the clothing is so one-of - a -kind. You won't have to worry about going to that party and someone else having the same shirt or dress as you. The chances of that happening is slim to none. Let's not forget that on top of probably being the only person with that item, you bought it at a fraction of the cost that you would have spent on a garment in a chain store. You'd maybe be able to get about 10 wears out of it because it will soon GO OUT OF STYLE! This is not the same for vintage. Vintage clothing sets you apart and saves you money in the bank.
Not to mention the benefits in helping save the world! Recycling has never looked so good!
So go into your mom's or dad's...HECK!!!! ... even your Grandmas and Grandpas closet and pick out those butterfly collar tops, or that retro mini dress, or even that grunge lumberjack shirt and rock it with PRIDE! If their closets don't meet your particular style, be sure to check out your local charitable locations such as The Salvation Army or Goodwill.
