With the growing popularity of the use of vintage chenille on the boutique scene, I have had many requests for these bumper pads.

It is no surprise that a fabric that can last decades and withstand many different elements and retain (close to the) original texture and color has become a favorite textile for many small boutique sellers.  Their amazing creativity has spawn:  baby shoes, baby quilts, baby blankets, bibs, pillows, baby bloomers, rag quilts,  custom clothing and the list marches on!

For almost two years I have been selling quilts right here on eBay, specializing in chenille materials.  I have watched the competition expand as the popularity of chenille rises!  There is always room for competition in an expanding market!

I believe in producing quality goods.

My standard vintage chenille patchwork quilts (non rag quilts) have:

*High Quality Batting:  100% Cotton, Warm and Natural Brand.  This brand and other HQ 100% cotton brands has less tendancy to break, tear, rip so it has less of a tendancy to bunch in the quilt washing after washing.  Be leary of the vintage chenille quilt seller who says it is dry clean only.  Vintage Chenille is extremely durable and should NOT be a dry clean only material.  I believe I see this only because the batting may be of a lesser quality and may need more delicate handling.

*Double Stitched Quilt Panel:  Each square is double stitched so that these lovely vintage materials that have lasted for many decades, can last for many more decades!

*Top Stitched Edges:  The outer edges are double stitched and then top stitched.  This is for durability so the quilt can last many many washings and can be handed down generation to generation.  I strive to produce heirloom quality items!

*100% Vintage Chenille panels as stated in the listing.  No fillers of flannel or new chenilles!

With the thousands of Vintage Chenille Baby Quilts that have been sold, I still have yet (this could change soon) to see many matching accessories.  This is why I created the Vintage Chenille Bumper Pads!  I made it with all other quilts (even the ones that were not mine) sold in mind!

I make them just like the patchwork quilts - 100% cotton batting, patchwork 100% Vintage Chenille - plus I use white cotton fabric backing.  This is so you have flexibility matching another boutique quilt - or just simply match it with white accessories that you can buy virtually anywhere!
