Viewsonic is a guarantee that you cant go wrong. You will pay additional $40-70 dollars for that.  Its worth it. You are paying for a delicate piece of equipment, you cant affor that it will break in the next 3 months.

It comes well protected in its original package and it has been reviewed like a good choice for allmost all applications (except gaming).

17" size is great for excel worksheets and internet surfing. The contrast ration and resolution are great. No dead pixels here.

The downside of this is that it does not has a good frame rate for high resoultions. If you are looking for gaming equipment, this is not what you need. I recommend the latest trend, specially if your gaming requires a good amount of graphics. 

This is a good choice for everybody but gamers, architects and engineers that work with design software.
