Video Editing Computer : Dell vs. 4VideoEquipment

When it comes to video editing there shouldn't be any question of where you should buy your new Non-Linear Video Editing system. But there are many out there convinced that purchasing a brand new Dell, HP, or IBM means they will have the least amount of problems and smoothest operation. Hopefully by the conclusion of this article you will learn that video editing demands more than large-scale computer manufacturer's can offer and support.

Some computer vendors (Dell, HP, Gateway, and IBM) package a lot of software with their systems. This is not a good thing! Since most computer problems are caused by software conflicts, your chances of developing a problem with one of these systems is immediately greater than if you bought a clean system from us. Would you really want to use a computer bundled with Math-blaster or AOL Software to operate a M.R.I or other medical device?

Dell, HP and Gateway have a lot of their own branded components on them. Even a knowledgeable IT may be puzzled when trying to help you solve a problem (i.e. Dell branded motherboard). The video editing card manufacturers don't have the ability to test everything, so they use standard name-brand components, which we use in our systems. When faced with a Gateway branded component, the controller may not be compatible leaving the user forced to purchase an expensive add-on card or even waiting months for the new patch to be available.

A local company means local support. By buying from a local company like 4VideoEquipment you will guarantee help (even with editing!) or repairs in case you are in need with your computer. Instead of struggling on the phone for hours with a customer service representative in a call center outside the USA, 4VideoEquipment will provide you with friendly, direct, personalized support.

When purchasing a customized system from 4VideoEquipment you are buying into a company that does all of the research, configuring, tweaking, tech support, and testing you would consider in your own system. We provide solid, stable and long-lasting systems including tech support newsletters, editing advice, data-loss prevention solutions and overnight replacement parts if necessary. This is our life and passion.
