This will be a very simple, easy guide to buying authentic Coach & Designer Purses and Accessories on Ebay.    I don’t know about you, but when I first started to learn about buying Designer Products, I would get more confused when reading about all the things I had to look for to buy an authentic Designer Item.  Some say look for the Coach Creed inside, but I found that not all Coach Purses have that Creed inside of them.  Some would say look for the Signature C material inside or out, but not all Coach Products are in the Signature Line.    Some say if it has plastic wrapping on the handles that is not a good sign, but I know now for a fact that is not true.  I buy new designer purses with plastic on the handles all of the time!  So it's very, very confusing!!!!

There are many things you can and should look for to see if the purse an authentic Coach or Designer Product.  There are already some very detailed guides that are available if you’re looking for all the specifics.  But really, it can be very simple when you just use good old common sense.  Like Oprah says “doubt means no”.  When in doubt, don’t chance it.   I did purchase a couple of fake designer purses when starting out, but when I look back on those purchases, I had doubt, but chanced it anyway.  They were so cheap for that particular bag - well...that should have been my first clue!  I've also purchased some used purses that said excellent condition with no marks, but sure enough...they had marks!  It is so frustrating when you ask specifically and then still get a purse with stains.  I've wasted a few hundred dollars that way also.  Most of the sellers didn't allow returns!

Here’s my #1 Tried and True Thing to Do when purchasing a Designer Coach Purse or Accessory on Ebay.  Look at the Seller’s Listings and Feedback!

The Seller’s Feedback: 

Is it 98 to 100% Positive with happy customers that have purchased Coach and Designer Products?  Look at their feedback and see how many Coach or Designer Products they have sold and what that specific feedback there has been.  If there’s ten or more positive feedbacks, there is a very good chance that their items are authentic.  Someone would have noticed  if the products were fake and left negative feedback.   You can also see if their shipping time and shipping price is rated well.  Listen everyone makes mistakes here and there.  Also you can't please everyone, so don't worry if there's a few negative feedbacks.  Just look at the overall picture.  If most of the people are happy, I'd say you shouldn't have much to worry about. 

The Seller's Listings:

Ask the Seller directly if the item is Authentic.  Any seller will be happy to answer that question, if they are selling authentic Coach or Designer Products.  It’s great if the listing says Authentic or Guaranteed Authentic, but that listing could be revised after you look at it.  It doesn’t hurt to ask again and have it stated that the item is authentic in an email to you.  If a seller can’t be bothered to answer the question directly, then I wouldn’t bother to purchase their item.  Make sure the seller accepts returns.  The couple times that I chanced that were the times I wanted to return the bag and couldn't.  I don't ever buy from anyone that doesn't allow returns anymore!

Is there a clear picture of the item?  The more pictures, the better.  If you are seeing the product close up, you’ll probably see the Coach or Designer sales tag, Coach Creed inside, or a Coach / Designer hangtag.  If all these are shown, that’s a very good sign that it is an authentic Coach or Designer item.

Is a Gift Receipt Offered?  Are they Offering Coach / Designer Signature Tissue, a Coach or Designer Dust Bag & Gift Box?  These would normally be good indicators that the product is authentic. But I now see people selling Coach boxes on Ebay, so don't let that be your deciding factor.  Also sometimes I forget to ask for a gift receipt whening making my purchase at the store.  So if one is not offered, it doesn't mean it's a fake. 

So, to recap, if the seller tells you that the item is authentic, answers any and all questions directly, has good pictures of the item showing tags, Coach Creed, Dustbags etc.   If the seller has several listings of Coach or Designer Purses or Accessories, offers a Gift Receipt, Coach Signature Tissue, Coach / Designer Dust Bag and Coach / Designer Gift Box and most importantly, has lots of positive feedback from selling Coach & Designer Products,  I don’t think you have much to worry about.  If all of these things are in order, there’s a pretty low risk that you’re purchasing a fake.  

And here’s a Bonus:  If the seller writes a review about buying authentic Coach & Designer Products, they are probably selling Authentic Coach & Designer Products.  (Smile)
