The advantages of Vented Gas Logs are that they have a larger, more realistic flame. They put out about 17,000 BTUs and will heat up to 1100 square feet.
There are some areas of the US that do not allow Vent-free gas logs so Vented are the only alternative.
They can also be used in existing wood burning fireplaces by using the existing flue. It can also be used with a firebox that direct vent system.
We carry Monessen Hearth, there are spec sheets & more information at thier site. There are several brands out there but from past experience we feel that Monessen is the best.
