Most Primitive Doll Bodys are Made from Muslin, Osnaburg. You can find this in any Fabric Store... Usually A Yard for the Body is sufficiant but Check what the Designer calls for...For The Outfit A Cotton Fabric is very desirable because Poly will not absorb stain like Cotton will and the Amount needed will depend on what the Designer calls for...
The Stuffing inside Can be Polyfil or What I prefer is the Scraps of the Fabric that I use and save and then ultimatly Stuff My Dolls with. Sometimes I use both! Wood Excelsior is also used. Personally I have never used it but I know some doll makers do...
You dont want to use...Rice, Beans or any Food groups because it will serve as Lunch down the road to things we dont want in our Dolls...
You will want A Good Thread, I Personally Use A Blend of Cotton and Polyester and a Good known brand in the Colors of Cream and Black...I use Black 99% of the time for My Designs...
You will want Any Brand of Instant Coffee, The less inexpensive Brands works just as good.
Sometimes the Pattern will Call for Black or White Acrylic Paint. This can Be found in any Craft Store and the Least Expensive is all you need. I use Plain Black Or A Light Ivory color on my painted dolls.
You definatly want to get some 1" sponge applicators to paint with and these are found in any craft store. They are 1" wide and have a wooden handle..
