We have been looking for 1 month to find a suitable replacement for our Daughters VW bug - she had a 1999 GLS 5 sp w/ sunroof. A drunk Driver blew a 1.8 on scene, and had no Ins.  It then "fell back " on me ( moms ) "unins-underinsured" on my policy. Our Insurance Company has been jerking us around for a month. they took OUR car to an impound lot a whole state away and have NOT even paid us for it yet. They are trying to only pay 6,400 for Our nice bug that had custom graphics ( she had it custom striped with the John Deere Logos- shes a real country Girl ! ) It had a brand new CD stereo system, and was ALWAYS maintained in Great Mechanical shape. We have been looking and Looking for something that will be close to this so my daughter will not have to make too many payments to REPLACE something that WAS NOT HER FAULT to begin with. Meantime, the drunk not only got re arrested 4 days later on driving under revolked ( from our accident ) lic. but is apparently going to get off as far as replacing our daughters car scott free. ( makes ya wonder why any of us pay for ins. doesnt it? ) Anyway , anyone have a nice VW bug somewhere between 1999 - 2004  reasonably low miles, good shape 5 sp / w sunroof, between 6,400 - and 11,500 that wants to help out a nice girl that was waiting tables to earn money for college this fall and now has NO CAR?..
