RETRO VINTAGE FABRIC!THOSE WONDERFUL TIMES OF DAYS GONE BY!  What wonderful memories from when we were growing up to see these beautiful retro fabrics from the1950's, 1960'2, 1970's, 1980's! All eras were unique but I speak to the heart of all you Baby Boomers out there in Ebay Land!  Retro dresses hand made during the depression and those wonderful clothes and vintage jewelry from the "Atomic Bomb" Era , during WWII and after.  Polka Dots!  Pointy Bras!   Push Up Pants!  Those dresses from the 1950's are oh sooooooo RETRO and very wearable TODAY!  Those lovely aprons, some with hand embroidery that our mother's and grandmother's wore.   We were allowed to wear one or we had one of our own size to "help out in the kitchen".  Those times are gone! The handmade pillow cases and sheets with wonderful hand sewn colored embroidery from the late 1950's  or a set of sheets bought from the department store and hand embroidered in pale pastels so lovely with the 1940's and 1950's era decor and furniture.  WONDERFUL hand made quilts of all kinds, sizes, shapes of pattern and textures.   Many of them were hand sewn and batted; they used the left over fabric remnants displaying and array of wonderful, varied colors, shapes, sizes and textures!  Hand crocheted doilies and arm chair or couch arm covers.  Oh and the ones that covered the top center back of the chair.  Those crochet patterns were so beautiful!   Those old Singer Sewing Machines that our grandparents' owned!  Lovely wood cabinets and waffle designed foot pedal.  The Butterick and Simplicity Patterns, the spools of thread and bobbins, the zippers, etc. The sewing baskets and stools with the vinyl upholestery and lift up tops.  What treasures we find inside these items, as well as the trunks, the cedar chests.  Straight shifts worn from the late 105-'s - 1960's.  Culottes from the late 1960's to the early 1970's. A lot of these one piece culottes or culottes and tops, skorts, hippie tops were made with the most wonderful Flower Power and MOD fabrics done in psychedelic colors and flower power fabrics!  Platform Shoes!  Surf Shirts!  Hang Ten!  Clam Diggers.  Creative and colorful tie dye EVERYTHING from the late 1960's, 1970's handmade with some of the most beautiful designs that just can't be replicated by a machine   The Flower Power Jewelry was all the rage! As were the mood rings of the 1960's and the lava lamps of the flower child, hippie time.   Still SO wearable and popular today! You see them for sell everywhere, and yes they are quite nice but just not the same as the ones we made from hand.  What fun we had getting our white tee shirts out, twisting them in different places, adding a few or many rubberbands.  Then dipping them into the bright red, yellow, blue, green, purple, pink, orange, black!  The Victorian Style was also grand!  All that lace on those long beautiful dresses.  Boned corsettes.  The shoes, gloves and accessories they wore.  Vintage chatelaines, sweater chains, fur clips on those wonderful old genuine furs.   Shoe eye hooks and eye hook fasteners.  Many of them made from bone or metal.  Metal Shoe Horns and Shoe Shine Cases! Victorian ladies' hats Oh the Feathers! The gloves and shoes they wore.    Every year represents it's own place within each decade, then quarter century and so on.
