I ordered 8 'BUY NOW' DVD's listed on the Video Barn DVD E-Bay site, last week, and requested a total amount owed with the shipping total included. I was sent an E-mail with each item listed and each shipping charge, telling me to add it up myself - then asking to pay through an add on message link or I could send a check to Video Barn in BC., Canada. I said I only pay through E-Bay for items I buy on E-Bay. It is a secure site and I have paid with PayPal on E-Bay with no problems. I am not sending my credit info through Video Barn linking to other add on messages or strange sites. This refusal to get a total owed through E-Bay made me suspicious - something was wrong. That was when I went back to see Video Barn customer contact and saw the hundreds of negative feedback comments and learned they do not stock the movies they list as in stock to buy. They list pictures of almost every movie ever made and offer it to BUY NOW. They do not tell you the movie is not in stock. You pay them for the movie and then they search all the DVD suppliers everywhere to find it. If it takes 2-3 months to find it, whatever. Alot of the comments said the movies were drop shipped and sent to them from the Deep Discount DVD site. I called Deep Discount and they confirmed they are a DVD supplier. I then asked Video Barn why they lied - when I order a DVD listed to 'BUY NOW' I expect them to SEND NOW - not whenever they find it somewhere, sometime, maybe, if they can. They charge almost $13.00 USD per movie to ship to Canada - refusing to combine ship and they are located in BC., Canada. They sent me a reminder notice and wanted me to send a check to them in BC., Canada. GREEDY and the worst liars - they actually believe I would pay them to wait 2-3 months for them to maybe find the 8 movies I ordered as 'BUY NOW' items that they don't have to sell yet?? I was told they refuse to combine shipping all 8 videos together because all the vidos have to be found first and are shipped from different suppliers at different times as they find them. Alot of the negetive comments from buyers also said they had to file claims with E-bay to get their money back. Fortunately I did not pay them and was able to avoid fighting with E-Bay or Pay Pal to get my money from these FRAUD ARTISTS. I reported the site to E-Bay asking why they are allowed to lie and sell items they do not have in stock. I paid them for an item I expect to be in stock as listed and expect to be sent out upon payment - not a couple months later if they are able to find one somewhere else, maybe. Of course E-Bay will not answer this question of FRAUD, so learn from me and check first if these DVD sites are selling movies they have before you pay. I would not have ordered these movies, but my living in Quebec, Canada - all movies sold here must be bilingual. The international titles I ordered last week and listed at Video Barn are not available in french, so cannot be sold in video stores or shipped to video stores here if you want to order them. Otherwise I would have ordered them from a video store here. It is not my trying to save money, these movies can only be ordered on-line or from a store outside of Quebec. That only adds to my frustration with what should have been an easy and pleasent experience. I will ask my sister in Ontario to order them now, as I cannot trust these E-Bay sites to send them. BUYER BEWARE - from someone that cares - LESSON LEARNED!!
