I often get asked about the existence of a product that will allow you to watch 8mm/hi8mm tapes through a VCR using a VHS adapter ... to my knowledge there is not an adapter for 8mm tape to VHS ... the camera is menat to act as the player and plug in using the a/v cables into your vcr or tv. However, many VHS-C tapes and cameras were sold in the same time frame as 8mm cameras and tapes and Yes, there is an adapter that can easily be found and purchased inexpensively that will allow you to insert your VHS-C tape into it and watch it through a standard VCR :)
