The first thing to remember is it only takes a VERY small amount of minerals to do the job as they are very, very concentrated !
Minerals like a bit of moisture, so if you use moisturizer, put it on first, let it completely dry. I usually just wash my face, apply my moisturizer, and get dressed while it dries. You can also just use a little bit of Aloe Vera over your face. If you have oily or normal skin, you can skip any moisturizing process.
For your foundation, just barely touch your brush to the bit of product, and press or “swirl” the brush head into the lid of the jar). The object of lightly pressing & swirling the brush head into the jar lid, or bowl, is so the minerals will infuse evenly into the brush head. Then tap off the excess, and buff - buff- buff all over your face. The more you buff it, the better it’ll set. You will REALLY notice the “magic” of the minerals about a half hour later once the minerals seem to just meld in with the natural moisture on the face. This is the kind of makeup that actually looks _better_ the longer it’s on the face! Really neat stuff!
Rather than doing the swirl and tap into the original jar, my favorite thing to use is a small bowl. I like using a small decorative rice bowl… it takes up very little room, looks nice on the vanity, and makes it so easy to do the swirl-tap-buff! I just touch the brush to minerals, and then swirl the brush head into the bowl. The curves on the small bowl really help to infuse the brush quickly with the minerals, and no minerals “float” into the air as they do when using the jar lid! A small custard bowl would work perfect also.
Then for your blushes, again, it only takes the tiniest amount.. You want literally just a few grains on the brush, buff the brush head into the side of bowl, or jar lid, and lightly brush it over the cheek area, and buff it in. (Warmth & Glee can be used all-over the face, you just lightly buff it all over areas where the sun would touch your face, cheeks, forehead, etc. - remember it only takes the tiniest amount of these!)
Eyeshadows again, just get the tiniest amount on the end of your brush, tap off excess, then kind of swirl or rub the brush head against the lid of the little jar, and apply on your eyes.
For eyeliners, it’s super simple, just dampen the brush head (not real wet, but just nice & damp), then just barely touch it to the minerals, and use the little jar lid to swirl it around & mix it, then apply as you normally would. For the “smokey” eye look, you can add a bit more water & smooth out & lighten the line on the eye.
